Mondays & Fridays - The public is invited to participate in a Coffee and Chat group which is held at TASCA every Monday and Friday morning from 9:30am-11:00am.  Coffee is free, sodas and bottled water are $.50 each.  Meet new people, chat, and enjoy socializing.  For more information, call (903) 871-3217 or email them at

Wednesdays - Whitehouse Recycle Center is open Wednesdays from 7-10 a.m. and 3:30-4:30 p.m.  Bring your recyclable paper, newspaper, cardboard, plastic, aluminum cans and tin cans. The Recycle Center is located on Railroad Avenue

Thursdays - The public is invited to a community Bible Study, hosted by On The "GO" at Dillon's C Store on Hwy 110 at 6:30pm to 7:30pm every Thursday night. The topic of Grace will be discussed.  Bring a Holy Bible if you have one, if not, one will be provided for you.  All are welcome!  For more information, contact Holly at 903 530-3955.

Saturdays - TASCA offers free dance lessons on the first and third Saturday of each month from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Join instructor Hugh Wallace for some great Country & Western dance tips and steps. Then stay to practice your skills during the first & third Saturday C & W dances from 7:00-9:30 PM. Don’t miss out on the fun! For more information call (903) 871-3217.

April 4 - Philadelphia Blessing Food Pantry here in Whitehouse is holding their first annual fun run benefitting the food pantry on Saturday, April 4th.  Sponsorships are $200 and that gets your logo on the t-shirts and a booth in Whitehouse City Park.  Registration forms will be available soon, please go to their Facebook page at Philadelphia Blessing.

April 4 - On Saturday, April 4th 10-6, Dusty Door Decor will be celebrating their 1 year anniversary in Whitehouse and their 2nd year being open all together! They will have a $1.00 tent and a Won't Fit In My Booth tent set up outside( weather permitting) Inside there will be sales and refreshments. If you come in before 1pm on Saturday, you can get your name entered into the drawing again! Come by, enjoy, shop and double your chances to win!

April 4 - Whitehouse First Assembly is holding an Easter Eve service at 6:30pm followed by a glow in the dark easter egg hunt.  On Sunday, April 5th, their services will be at 9am and 11am, both will be followed by the helicopter egg drops.  They are located at 502 Hwy 110 South.

April 4 - Make a date to meet at TASCA for an evening of Country and Western Dancing on the first Saturday of each month. The next dance will be held April 4 from 7:00- 9:30 p.m. in the TASCA Activity Center Ballroom. Music provided by "Caddo Creek." Bring a snack to share and have fun. Admission is $5.00 per person. April 11 - Keep Whitehouse Beautiful is holding the annual Don't Mess With Texas Trash-Off on Saturday, April 11th at Whitehouse City Park beginning at 8:00am.  Teams of volunteers are needed to help pick up trash along the roadways of Whitehouse.  Teams or individuals can sign up, go to for more information.

April 25 - The Whitehouse YMCA is hosting "Healthy Kids Day" at Whitehouse City Park on Saturday, April 25th from 10am until 12pm.  Come with your family, and see local vendors, and enjoy information about staying healthy!

April 25 - The Whitehouse YMCA is holding a 5K Glow Run on Saturday, April 25th at 9pm.  Registration is open until April 24th, adults are $20, youth are $15.  Registration the day of the race will be held only at the YMCA.  Stay after the race for a post-race party with music, food and drinks!  Contact Renee Quackenbush for more information at

May 28 - Republic Services at the Greenwood Farms Landfill is hosting their annual customer appreciation day on May 28th from 11am until 2pm.  Hamburgers and refreshments will be served.  More details coming soon!

May 29 - The City of Whitehouse Parks & Recreation Commission is hosting the Roy Lawrence Memorial Golf Tournament benefiting the First Tee program on Friday, May 29 at Oakhurst Golf Course at 1:00pm. Tournament cost is $100 per player and includes green fees, cart, range balls, and lunch served at noon. For more information, go to or call 903 839-4914, option 3.
