Mondays & Fridays - The public is invited to participate in a Coffee and Chat group which is held at TASCA every Monday and Friday morning from 9:30am-11:00am.  Coffee is free, sodas and bottled water are $.50 each.  Meet new people, chat, and enjoy socializing.  For more information, call (903) 871-3217 or email them at

Wednesdays - Whitehouse Recycle Center is open Wednesdays from 7-10 a.m. and 3:30-4:30 p.m.  Bring your recyclable paper, newspaper, cardboard, plastic, aluminum cans and tin cans. The Recycle Center is located on Railroad Avenue

Thursdays - The public is invited to a community Bible Study, hosted by On The "GO" at Dillon's C Store on Hwy 110 at 6:30pm to 7:30pm every Thursday night. The topic of Grace will be discussed.  Bring a Holy Bible if you have one, if not, one will be provided for you.  All are welcome!  For more information, contact Holly at 903 530-3955.

Saturdays - TASCA offers free dance lessons on the first and third Saturday of each month from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Join instructor Hugh Wallace for some great Country & Western dance tips and steps. Then stay to practice your skills during the first & third Saturday C & W dances from 7:00-9:30 PM. Don’t miss out on the fun! For more information call (903) 871-3217.

Now! - The City of Whitehouse Splash Park is now OPEN! Regular park hours are Monday-Saturday from 10am until 6pm, and Sundays from 1pm until 5pm.

May 7- This Thursday, May 7th is the National Day of Prayer. First Baptist Church Whitehouse will hold a prayer time at the flag pole in front of the church from 7am until 7:30am.

May 16 - The first ever "Rock the Park" is coming to Whitehouse City Park on Saturday, May 16th from 4pm until 10:30pm. The concert will feature five bands, four of which have ties to Whitehouse. The concert will include performances by the Whitehouse High School Drum Line and the Whitehouse High School Jazz Band. Ths music festival is a fundraiser for the Whitehouse YMCA.

May 9 - Whitehouse Postal workers will be collection non-perishable food items that are placed in a bag at your mailbox this Saturday, May 9th. This day is the 23rd annual National Assocation of Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. So place your food items in a bag at your mailbox on May 9th, and they will be picked up and delivered to our local food pantry: Philadelphia Blessing. The Post Office also has a box inside their building for food donations for your convenience.

May 28 - Republic Services at the Greenwood Farms Landfill is hosting their annual customer appreciation day on May 28th from 11am until 2pm.  Hamburgers and refreshments will be served.  More details coming soon!

May 29 - The City of Whitehouse Parks & Recreation Commission is hosting the Roy Lawrence Memorial Golf Tournament benefiting the First Tee program on Friday, May 29 at Oakhurst Golf Course at 1:00pm. Tournament cost is $100 per player and includes green fees, cart, range balls, and lunch served at noon. For more information, go to or call 903 839-4914, option 3.
