Mondays & Fridays – The public is invited to participate in a Coffee and Chat group which is held at TASCA every Monday and Friday morning from 9:30am-11:00am. Wednesdays – Whitehouse Recycle Center is open Wednesdays from 7-10 a.m. and 3:30-4:30 p.m. Bring your recyclable paper, newspaper, cardboard, plastic, aluminum cans and tin cans. The Recycle Center is located on Railroad Avenue
Thursdays – The public is invited to a community Bible Study, hosted by On The “GO” Mission.org at Dillon’s C Store on Hwy 110 at 6:30pm to 7:30pm every Thursday night. Saturdays – TASCA offers free dance lessons on the first and third Saturday of each month from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Join instructor Hugh Wallace for some great Country & Western dance tips and steps. February 28 – Gateway Baptist Church is holding their first annual chili-cookoff fundraiser on Saturday, February 28th. 3 categories of chili will be judged, and folks are welcome to taste chili samples for a donation. March 7 – The second annual FRESH 15k will be held on Saturday, March 7th at Fresh by Brookshire’s in Tyler. Proceeds will be benefitting SEAL Legacy Foundation, Team Red White & Blue, Fit Steps for Life, and Bethesda Health Clinic. March 22 – First Baptist Church and PureReligion will be holding a concert featuring Tony Black & friends on Sunday, March 22nd at 6pm. A love offering will be taken with all proceeds benefiting orphan care ministries.
April 4 – Philadelphia Blessing Food Pantry here in Whitehouse is holding their first annual fun run benefitting the food pantry on Saturday, April 4th. Sponsorships are $200 and that gets your logo on the t-shirts and a booth in Whitehouse City Park. Registration forms will be available soon, please go to their Facebook page at Philadelphia Blessing.
April 25 – The Whitehouse YMCA is hosting “Healthy Kids Day” at Whitehouse City Park on Saturday, April 25th from 10am until 12pm. Come with your family, and see local vendors, and enjoy information about staying healthy!
April 25 – The Whitehouse YMCA is holding a 5K Glow Run on Saturday, April 25th at 9pm. Registration is open until April 24th, adults are $20, youth are $15. Registration the day of the race will be held only at the YMCA. Stay after the race for a post-race party with music, food and drinks!
