LakeFest 2012 at Lake Tyler: Saturday, June 30th – THERE’S SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE!

You will most definitely want to save the date for LakeFest 2012, which will be held on Saturday, June 30th at Concession #2 on Lake Tyler, off McElroy Road.  This will be a day full of activities, contests, non-stop live entertainment and more!  The festivities will begin at 10am Saturday morning with dog races, and a car show sponsored by ABC Auto Parts,  BBQ contest at 1pm and 2pm,  a margarita contest at 3pm, washer tournament at 4pm, a homemade boat race at 5pm and other attractions such as live bands playing on center stage, (Honeybrowne is the headliner with 7 other fantastic bands playing all day starting at 10am), vendor booths, helicopter rides, sandcastle demonstration by Sandy Feets, master sand sculptor out of Padre Island, (sponsored by Pier Concepts) and other fun things to do.  Admittance is free, however there is a charge for signing up for the contests and rides except for the homemade boat contest.  (Click on the link below for the LakeFest schedule of events!)

Proceeds from the contests, cook-offs and tournaments will benefit the Whitehouse Food Pantry (Philadelphia Blessing) and Tyler Type One Diabetes Foundation.

For those vendors wishing to have a booth at LakeFest but are not currently members, you can send in your Whitehouse Chamber membership application with your vendor application.  All current Whitehouse Chamber members receive 1 free booth at LakeFest.
